Declaring the Year of Change (One Month Late)

Yes, I know. We haven’t exactly been lighting the blogworld on fire lately.

But we have a good excuse: we’ve been busy.

Yes, busy.

Now, this isn’t to gloat. I know that we’re heading into uncharted economic waters. I know things can change in a heartbeat. But, this year, we’ve talked to more interesting people in a month than we may have, in, well, years.

You see, in the midst of "less spend/can’t spend/won’t spend," people start asking questions. Most of which relate to, "Well, how the heck can I get more bang for my buck?" But also, "Hey, you know all those people we used to reach via the newspaper–where did they go?" And "What does the dissappearance of key industry voices–in cars, in crafts, in television, in virtually anyplace–mean?" And "You know, all my friends are suddenly showing up on Facebook–what happened, why are they there, and what can we do with this."

In short, people are asking about change.

(And may I remind everyone that we’ve been using "Agency of Change" as a tagline for, oh, almost 3 years now. So we’re not jumping on any bandwagons.)

So, in a series of articles over the next few months, I’ll be taking a look at how things are changing. Using specific examples. And giving advice on how to use this change to your advantage.

Because, as old structures fall, new ones are being built. You may think your audience has dissappeared, when in reality they’ve simply moved.

We’ll help you find them.

(And maybe even some newer, bigger opportunities.)
